Please note that this section of the guide covers advanced configuration and manipulation of a BeesWees installation. While this information is provided to assist users which require manual manipulation of a software install, this is not recommended or required for normal use of the software.

How can I configure BeesWees manually?
The BeesWees applications are configured using a number of .conf files which are under the "states" folder. The exact location of the states folder depends on your operating system, but it is usually located in the user's home or personal folders area.
The .conf files are text files and can be edited using any ascii based text editor should you wish to manually configure the applications.
How can I increase BeesWees' memory limits?
Each BeesWees application includes a "launch" .conf file within the states folder. To change the maximum memory used by the application, please modify the _launch.memory= setting in this file. For example to change the Beep application's maximum memory to 512M, modify beep_launch.memory in beep_launch.conf to be equal to 512M.
How do I move a BeesWees installation?
As a general rule it is safe to move BeesWees installations by simply moving the BeesWees folder. When the application is next started, it should work with out any issues. However, please take these notes into consideration:
- Windows and some other operating systems do not like user modification of application folders. If you move BeesWees, you will need to manually repoint any menu or icons associated with it. You may also need to move it back to the original folder in order to Uninstall using the operating system's official install/uninstall method.
- BeesWees applications use a folder called "state" to store application data. "state" has to be user editable. If you make changes that could effect the user access to the states folder, please follow this instructions:
- Move state to a safe place.
- Make your changes.
- See where the app places "state"
- Remove the newly created state and put the original state in its place.
- Please make sure that the user has proper read/write permissions to the folder. (Specially important if you are moving a BeesWees installation from one user to another on Unix or a secured Mac OS X or Windows computer)
